We bid farewell to James R. Ruffner of Rochester, Pennsylvania, born in Home, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 7, 2025 at the age of 91. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ronnie and Paul Ruffner; and his siblings-in-law, Bert Spontak, Scotty Gordon and Shirley Spontak.
He is survived by: his wife Madelin Ruffner (Spontak); his children, Daniel Ruffner (Marguerite) and Laura Lill (George); his grandchildren, Abby (Parker), Sarah, Jacob and Aleah; his sister Doris Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Ruffner and Sally Gordon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc. (273 PA-68, Rochester, PA 15074). The military honors was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
