He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Melvin Sr. and Evelyn E. "Betty" Lambert Haney; his wife Carolyn Sue Smith Haney; his siblings, Charles Melvin "Pete" Haney Jr. and Christina Rossi; and his brothers-in-law, Frank "Sonny" Vollmer and Harry "Skip" Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie A. Haney, Daugherty Twp, Terri E. (Corry Bennett), Georgia and John W.; his daughter-in-law Diana Haney; his grandchildren, Andrew C. Haney, Daugherty Twp and Courtney L. (Ally L. Haney); and his siblings, Shirley H. Vollmer and Edward S. Haney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
