He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shaffer and Alice Albrecht (Donald); his daughter Jaime; his siblings, Debbie Duchess and Gregory Shaffer; and his friend Ed Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Span; his children, Jason Shaffer, Amanda Toth (Matt) and Tori Shaffer; his grandsons, Owen and Cody Shaffer; his siblings, Sheree Wittas, John Shaffer (Leslie), Cindy Lippwe and Lorrie Tarby (Tim); and his pets, Frank, Digger, Shadow, Brandy, Hera, Maggie and Willie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
