He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Edith Mummert (Bellis). He is survived by: his pets, Inky and Scooby; his partner Sydney Heath; and his children, Lisa (Raymond Saputelli), Kim Hastings, John Mummert (Roberta), Mark Mummert (Tara), Amy Baker and Denise (Stephen Peterman). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
