He was predeceased by: his parents, Iva Thomas and Richard Thomas; his niece Shannon Thomas; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Miller. He is survived by: his siblings, Richard "Rich" Thomas Jr. (Beth), Donna Clouse (Glen), Gloria Miller, Sandra Traxler (Dennis), John Thomas (Barb), William "Bill" Thomas (Mona), Randy Thomas (Denise), Linda Thomas and Blair Counties; his close friends, Kevin Hazenstab, Jodie, Mahlon Henry, Paul and Marylin Gochnour; and his pet Leeroy.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Sam's name can be made to the Bedford County Humane Society.
