He was predeceased by: his parents, Mearle Sr. Shaffer and Helen Shaffer (Shoenfelt); and his sisters, Lois "Cookie" Shaffer, Lynne Black and Mary Lytle.
He is survived by: his nieces, Roxanne Vaughn (Clark) and Lisa Krusey (Todd); his nephew Glendon Vaughn (Sherry); and his sisters-in-law, Wyona J. Wilt and Lora L. Keith. He is also survived by many other nephews and a niece.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. (422 N Juniata St, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
