He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Matthews of Roaring Spring, PA.; his children, Deborah Ann Imber of Somers Point, NJ, John Emerson Matthews VI (Brad Rogers) of Saint Augustine, FL, Jennifer Lynn Hudson (Bob) of Saint Augustine, FL and Melinda Dyan Anderson (John) of Hollidaysburg, PA; his stepdaughter Amanda Elizabeth Matthews of Sanford, NC; his grandchildren, Brooke Imber, Tyler Imber, Robert Longo, Melanie Longo, Meaghan McEldowney, Nicholas Hudson, Alexandra Hudson and RJ McEldowney; and his siblings, Diane Garofalo (Jamie) of Saint Augustine, FL and Robert Newman of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
