He is survived by: his sisters, Ann Noel (Dane) and Amy Dillon (Bob); his nieces and nephews, Dane Noel (Lisa), Ricky Feltenberger (Nina), Kayla Reed (Josh), Emily Yerty (Kyle) and Lauren Kohan (Nathan); his stepson Bradley Heidrich of Gilbertsville, PA; his great-nephews, Collin (Taylor), Luke, Chase, Parker and Ari; and his great-niece Brynn.

Contributions in memory of Jan may be given to the Four Diamonds Cancer Research Center at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital, 1249 Cocoa Ave. #115, Hershey, PA 17033.

“Learned of Jan's passing only this morning and deeply saddened. We stayed in touch for many years beginning with getting together at Lehigh Valley Penn State Alumni Association events. In recent years, since his move from the Lehigh Valley we stayed in touch by email fairly regularly, and I wondered why I hadn't heard from him since early November. My sincere condolences to his family, who he spoke of often, and rest in peace We ARE Penn State!”
