Scott Carothers wrote a sympathy message

“Jeanie and all of Charlie's family, my heart is heavy with the loss of a great man who always tried to do his best, whether it be the work he did or in life. We worked together on numerous jobs and we always found time to talk about our faith and dig into the Bible. Although I have been gone from Altoona for thirteen years, it seems like yesterday and I will miss Charlie greatly. I pray for healing, wholeness, and comfort for both family and friends. God Bless you all.”

Harry Uffalussy wrote a sympathy message

“I did not know Charlie well, or for very long, I am sorry to say. That being said, in our time knowing each other Charlie was a knowledgeable and steadfast fellow reenactor. Quality is hard to miss and Charlie was a quality guy. I will miss him in the field and around the campfire. Sorry for your loss. Harry Uffalussy, for all of Burroughs Battery”
