He was predeceased by: his parents, Graydon McKissick and Martha McKissick; his brothers, John and Robert McKissick; and his mother-in-law Shirley Popolo.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine McKissick (Popolo); his son Eric (Christine); his grandchildren, Calvin and Kenzy; and his siblings, Deborah, Barbara, Ava, Joyce and Michael McKissick (Allison).
