He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Medlinsky (Stepulaitis) and Stanley Medlinsky; and his siblings, Albert and Dorothy Prantow. He is survived by: his wife Joan Medlinsky (Bitting); his daughter Pam (Bill Conroy); his grandchildren, Abby and Will; his sister Jean Medlinsky of California; his sister-in-law Carol Leise of Colorado; and his nieces and nephews, Christine Prantow, Sheri Leise, Brynn Mays, Tony Prantow, Terry Zimmerman and Erin Zimmerman.
