He was predeceased by: his parents, Dola Shoup (Heffner) and John Ellis Shoup; his son Thomas Shoup; his grandson Richard Shoup; his grandson-in-law Costel Potcovaru; and his siblings, Ronald Shoup and Marie Lapotsky.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Shoup (Fellin); his daughter Carol (John Ferenchick); his granddaughter Kim; and his great grandchild Alex.
