He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Custer and Catherine Custer (Fair). He is survived by: his wife Marcy Custer (Conner); his children, Joshua Custer (Michelle) of Butler, Jason Custer of Rimersburg and Malinda Custer of Rimersburg; his grandchildren, Carson, Brayden and Kamren Custer; his sister Marilyn Bowser (Loren) of Parker; his stepmother-in-law Norma Conner of New Bethlehem; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Conner of Rimersburg and Laurie Stitt (Scott) of Sligo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
