He was predeceased by: his parents, Almon Greenawalt and Marie Greenawalt (Jordan); his siblings, Peg Allshouse, Thomas Allshouse, Donald "Greeny" Greenawalt and Russ Greenawalt; and his granddaughter Katie Bobbert.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Greenawalt of Rimersburg; his children, Rhonda Greenawalt of Rimersburg, James Greenawalt Jr. (Patsy) of Rimersburg and Janey "Hip" Phillips (Kenneth Allen) of Rimersburg; his grandchildren, Heather Wiant (Bill), Jimmy Greenawalt III, Jennifer Callender (Jason), David McClaine Jr. and Justin Greenawalt; and his great grandchildren, Parker Greenawalt, Maycee Callender, Oaklee Callender, Mercedees Chambers, Jaiven Steele, Hunter Greenawalt, Ryder Greenawalt, Cole Wiant, Dane Wiant and Eli Wiant.
Memorials may be made in Jim's name to the Clarion Cancer Center, 150 Doctors Lane, Clarion, PA.
