He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Ferris and Grace I. Ferris (Ashbaugh); his wife Gloria Jean Ferris (Schons); his siblings, James Ferris and Arveda "Honey" Smiley; and his daughter-in-law Joyce Ferris.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Ferris, Jr. (Jona) of Sligo, Tom Ferris of Franklin, Brad Ferris (Renee) of Huey, Michael Ferris of Florida, Cole Ferris of Lubbock, TX, Brandon Ferris of Rimersburg, Terri Murphy (Jim) of Rimersburg and Tammi Radecker (Edward) of Sligo; and his grandchildren, J. J. Ferris, Elizabeth Nicole Ferris, Caleb Reedy (Katlyn), Brent Murphy (Shelly), Rebecca Murphy, Tyler Murphy, Shane Murphy, Bella Murphy, Katie Radaker and Ashley Meier. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and one-great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Baker Street Church of God (160 Veteran St, Rimersburg, PA 16248). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
