He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Inta Solveiga Augstroze (Čukurs); his parents, João Augstroze and Hilda Augstroze (Viks); his son Ralf Augstroze (Silvia) of Haycock Twp; his grandchildren, Lija Augstroze Hanzovska (Ēriks) and Armand Augstroze (Casey); his great grandchildren, Olivia and Alise Hanzovska; and his siblings, Anna of Brazil, Ausma (Ary) of Brazil, Wilma (Gilberto) of Brazil, Valda of Brazil, João Jr. and Walter Augstroze.
