He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Chartier and Ora Chartier (Benoit); and his siblings, Ernest Chartier, Jeanette Perkins and Irene Higgins.
He is survived by: his children, Anne McLaughlin (Frank), John Chartier (Jennifer), David Chartier (Cleopha) and Mary Lopez (Robert); his grandchildren, Laura (Lucas), Matthew (Lauren), Peter, Benjamin (Diana), Richard (Schuyler), Elizabeth, Michael, Mercedes, Callista, Catherine and Alexander; his great grandchildren, Zoee, Liam and Theodore; and his brother Wilfred Chartier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent in his name to St. Madeline Church.
