She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Geibler and Helen Geibler; her husband Joseph F Murtha; and her siblings, Albert Geibler, Robert Geibler, Joseph Geibler, Helen Verdes and Mary Bristol.

She is survived by: her children, Teresa Davis (Glennon), Susan Ewing (Bob), Joanne Hart, Joseph T Murtha (Suzanne), Timothy Murtha (Joan), Regina Hart (Charlie), Matthew Murtha (Dona), James Murtha (Karen), Elizabeth McAteer (John), Ellen Willoughby (Scott) and Michael Murtha (Noelle). She is also survived by her 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
