He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert N Schaefer and Cecelia M Schaefer (McFadden); and his great-niece Sophia Reeder. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert (Doris), William (Diane), George (Carol), Cecelia 'Peggy Schaefer, Kathleen Schaefer Heckman (Dale) and Mary Beth Schaefer Thompson (Bruce). He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews; 27 great nieces and nephews.
