He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret A. "Peggy" Pitts Righter; his son Charles J. Righter; his granddaughter Jaclyn Righter; and his siblings, Sally Foy, Bette Righter, Jean Ketterlinus, Joseph, Harry, Bill, Frank and Ed Righter.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Righter Milligan (Bob Malone), Jack Righter (Ronna) and Chris Tait (Jeff); his sister Mary Bradley; and his grandchildren, Colleen, Danielle, Lauren, Christopher, Ryan and Jessica. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
