She was predeceased by: her husband John L. DeReiter; and her parents, William Trotter and Zelta Trotter (Rohrer). She is survived by: her children, Patricia "Trish" Sefing (Christopher) of Green Lane, PA, Stanley Slabaugh (Michele) of Reading, PA and Cheryl Blackway (Bradley) of Keene, NY; her brother Wayne Trotter (Carol) of Inman, SC; and her sister-in-law Loretta Bryan of Harleysville, PA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one niece and two nephews.
