She was predeceased by: her parents, Niklaus Schmitz and Luise Schmitz (Neumann); her son Michael Richter; and her brothers, Ewald, Paul and Karl Schmitz.
She is survived by: her daughter Carla Myers (Russell) of Walnutport, PA; her grandchildren, Brandon S. Myers of Millsboro, DE, Elizabeth M. Myers of Silver Spring, MD and Nathaniel H. Myers of Alexandria, VA; and her sister Marlies Pendarvis of Lake Tahoe, CA..
