William P. Mehalko Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William P. Mehalko in Richland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Mehalko and Sue Mehalko (Stoika); his former wife Betty (Kozlovac); his wife Hallie; his sons, Tommy and Michael; his stepson Bernie Marano; and his siblings, Andy, John, Margie LoPiccolo and June Monborne.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandy Mehalko (Mark Prave) and Lori Sossong; his grandson Kevin Sossong (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Lily and Tyson; his granddaughter Kasey Bobolsky (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Ava, Layla and Olivia; his grandsons, Brett Sossong, Adam Marano (Stacy) and Darren Marano (Regina); his stepgrandchildren, Michael, Roman (Katelyn), Alden and Kallie; and his sister Carol Mottin (Denny). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 7p. m. (masks are recommended) on Sunday with Knights of Columbus Honor Guard at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held that evening. Funeral mass at 10 a. m. on Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, (masks are recommended), the Rev. Leonard Voytek, celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windber Hospice, the Alzheimer's Foundation, or the Cambria County Humane Society.
