He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Knowlton and Kathleen Knowlton (DeBovis); his sisters, Kathie Ann Knowlton and Pamela Ernest; his parents-in-law, Lawrence F. and Ruth V. VanNest (Boyle); his brother-in-law Paul J. VanNest; and his stepmother Mary Pauline Knowlton.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Knowlton (VanNest); and his brothers, Peter Knowlton and Thomas Knowlton. He is also survived by two nieces and four nephews.
