He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas H. Buck and Marie Buck (Sanker); and his sister Margaret "Peggy" Ray. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne D.; his sons, Richard A. Buck (Diane L. Safko), Robert T. Buck (Angela Ott) and David B. Buck (Gayle Clark); and his grandson David R. Buck.
