With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Vitez (Richland, Pennsylvania), born in Windber, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 19, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Vitez and Julia Vitez (Stevens); his wife Sarah "Sally" Vitez (Sisk); his sister Julia Vitez; his nephews, Michael Vitez and John Grieco Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, John Grieco and Mary Lou Vitez (Berkstresser).
He is survived by: his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Laura Vitez (Stake) of Salix; his grandchildren, Craig Vitez, Corey Vitez and Katie Vitez; his daughter Debbie (Bryan Jolley) of Burbank, CA; his grandsons, Alex Jolley and Luke Jolley; and his siblings, Andrew Vitez of Winston Salem, NC, Irene Grieco of Windber and Edith Vitez of Windber.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Conemaugh Hospice or St. Benedict parish Helping Hands in memory of John P. Vitez.
