It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Horst of Richland, Pennsylvania, born in Leola, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos H. Horst and Lena Horst (Martin); his wife Elva Horst (Sensenig); his children, Elva Jane Nolt and Curvin Sensenig Horst; his siblings, Phares, Martin, Amos, Clarence, Leon Horst and Anna Burkholder; and his great grandchild Noah Zeiset.
He is survived by: his children, Erma Louise Horst of Morgantown, Twila Mae (Melvin M. Oberholtzer) of Womelsdorf, Lucille Anne (Clair M. Good) of East Earl, Loretta S. (Elvin H. High, Jr.) of Ephrata, Orpha Jean (Jason N. Eberly) of Myerstown, Kenneth S. (Lillian M.) and Marlin S. (Carolyn B.); his son-in-law Aaron Z. Nolt, Jr. of Ephrata; his siblings, Aaron Horst of Richland, Franklin Horst of Ephrata, James (Nora Horst), Edwin (Ruth Horst), Vera (Allen Fox), Lena Weiler, Katie (Leon High) of Robesonia, Amelia (Arthur Weaver) of Ephrata, Margaret (Henry Martin) of Myerstown and Mary Ellen (Leon Martin); and his siblings-in-law, Luke Burkholder, Grace Martin and Loretta Horst. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren and 68 great grandchildren.
