He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Pete" Fallon and Gizella Fallon (Vrabel); and his siblings, James, Helen and Gladys (Lucy).

He is survived by: his children, Johanna (Ronald Prazich) of Johnstown, Susan of Queens, NY and Jamie Feathers of Tarrytown, NY; his grandsons, John Walter II (Courtney Odening) of Lawrenceville, NJ and Zachary James of Queens, NY.; his stepson Mark Vargo of Garner, NC; and his niece Nina Johnson (Giannone) of Santa Clarita.
