He was predeceased by: his parents, Jenery Unger and Rose Unger (Anderson); his sons, James and Richard; and his brother Richard (Donna).
He is survived by: his wife Anna M. (Ventry); his children, Pamela Constable, Robert J. (Sandra), Gerald E. (Patricia) and Betty Jo Wingard (Ken); and his brother Bill Wiley N. J. (Ethel). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great -great grandchild.
