It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Galen Head Sr. (Richland, Pennsylvania), born in Grande Prairie, Alberta, who passed away on March 14, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Head (Wright) and Walter Head; his brother Brian Head; his mother-in-law Helen Furmanchik; and his son Galen Head Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Grace Head (Furmanchick); his son G. Jason Head; his daughter-in-law Val Head; his siblings, Lorna Dopson, Marilyn Welsh and Gerald Head (Donna); his sister-in-law Mary Head; and his goddaughter Tiffany Veney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be set to the Galen Head Jr. Scholarship Fund at galenheadjr.org or the Windber Hospice.
