He was predeceased by: his son Christopher A. Colyar; and his mother Ruth Metzger Colyar. He is survived by: his wife Diane Thompson Colyar; his father Joseph F. Colyar; his children, Thomas R. Colyar of Horsham, Sarah A. Colyar of Holland and Renee C. Colyar (Howard Walters Jr.) of Holland; his grandchildren, Gavin, Brooke Colyar, Jadalynn and Kayla McKenna; and his brothers, Joseph Jr., James (Nancy), John (Lynda), Kevin (Alice) and Mark Colyar (Leslie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
