He was predeceased by: his parents, William Yost and Nannette Mika Yost; his brother William J. Yost Jr.; and his stepmother JoAnne. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Kicska Yost; his stepmother Irene "Johnine" Yost; his children, Jessica and Sonny Flood; his sister Lisa Schultz (Rick); and his sister-in-law Patricia Yost. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
