He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Burger (Bell); his parents, John J. Burger and Anna C. Burger (Blankfield); and his brothers, John and William Burger.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert L. Burger, II (Kathleen) and Thomas A. Burger (Kathryn); his grandchildren, Kristin (Michael), Robert III (Kelly), Thomas Jr., Brittany (Robert) and Kimberly (Patrick); and his great grandchildren, Helaina, Chase, Owen, Patrick, Evelyn, Brody, Christopher and Conor.
