He was predeceased by: his sister Norene Melvin; and his parents, Alphonse J. Melvin and Anna Melvin. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Melvin; his children, Joseph Melvin, Thomas, Donna Melvin, Rosemary, John Zuk, William Melvin, Maryann, Michael Donaghy, James and Lauren Melvin; his grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew Melvin, Megan, Samantha Melvin, John, Beth, Chris Zuk, Theresa, Brooke, Kiera Melvin, Michael, Matthew, Kayla Donaghy and James Melvin; and his sisters, Anne Slowicki and Kathleen Colalongo. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to The Ann's Choice Benevolent Care Fund, C/o Philanthropy Department, 20000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
