He was predeceased by: his parents, Keistutis Kantruss and Shirley Kantruss (Hetrick); and his daughter Amber Swindells. He is survived by: his wife Donna Kantruss (Gosik); his daughters, Lauren Perpetua (Joe) and Ashley Butler (Justin); his grandchildren, Aiden, Rylan, Austin, Tyler and Riley; his brothers, Craig Kantruss and Scott Kantruss; his son-in-law Greg Swindells; his siblings-in-law, Mark Gosik, Jay Gosik, David Heath, Renee Gosik, Debbie Heath, Donna Gosik and Karen Gosik; and his mother-in-law Marie Gosik. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Laird's name can be made to the APS Foundation of America.
