He is survived by: his wife Barbara W.; his children, Stephen J. (Leslie) and Heidi A. Sinkler (Bruce); his siblings, Elizabeth Ferri, David, Timothy and Paul Michael (Stephanie); and his sister-in-law Marjorie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
