It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R Buckley Sr. (Richboro, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 9, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Wolfert and Peter Wolfert; his son Brian Joseph Buckley; and his siblings, Edna Braun (Bill), Al Stiles (Dorothy), Robert Stiles (Rose) and Thomas Stiles (Carol).

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen D. Buckley (Morris); his children, James R. Buckley, Jr. (Anissa), Peter T. Buckley (Angelique) and Colleen Cunnius (Chad); his grandchildren, Annabelle, Benjamin, Chad, Jack, Nathan, Elijah, Casey, Abraham, Charlotte and Corrine; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Morris (Ann) and Elizabeth Zebrowski (Bob).

Contributions in his memory may be made to Penn Palliative Care - Inpatient Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) at 3400 Spruce St; FL 2 in Philadelphia, PA 19104.

“I only had the pleasure of meeting Jim via phone as a nurse care manager. I was struck by his upbeat way and sweet personality. After helping him with the issue, he left me a message to thank me and at the end of the message he said “if there is anything I can do for you, in the future, please give me a call”. I never received a call like that and it gave me more insight into the wonderful man he was. Praying for peace and strength for all who loved him. My encounter will not be forgotten.”
