She was predeceased by: her husband Allen Rue; her former husband Thomas J. Hinchliffe, Sr.; her daughter Diane Jurkofsky (late James); and her brothers, Robert and Ronald Kloss.

She is survived by: her son Thomas J. Hinchliffe Jr. (Michele); her grandchildren, James of Thomas, III, Bernadette, Elizabeth, Gwendolyn and Annabelle; her great grandchildren, James and Avalon; her brothers, Ralph McMullin (Donna) and John Kloss; her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Brennan and Mary Morris; and her cousins, Mary Baehr and Barbara Trout. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
