He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren C. Crofford and Grace Juniper Crofford; his former wife Judy Hall Crofford; his wife Barbara O'Neil Crofford; and his siblings, Marjorie, Bill and Bob Crofford.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Cleve Crofford II (Irene) of Sanford, NC, Michael Warren Crofford (Cathy) of Marlinton, WV, Grace Ryan (John) of New Milton, WV and James B Crofford (Darlene) of Clarksburg; and his sister Rose Mary Crofford. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
