He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel L. Crawford and Pearl E. Crawford (Bussard); his wife Mary Louise Shaffer; and his brother-in-law Richard "Dick" Sprague. He is survived by: his son James L. Jr. Crawford (Lori); his siblings, David B. Crawford (Sally), Shirley Sprague, Sandra J. Hetrick and Lois Norton (Fred); his grandchildren, Danielle Allen (Neill) and Cody Gates (Sierra); and his great grandchild Aiden Allen.
