He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Fillhart and Laura Fillhart (Yohe); his siblings, Howard "Ben", William, Donald, Clifford, Thomas, Eugene "Shorty", Jack Fillhart, Lillian Sprague and Violet Males; and his son-in-law Harry E. Hetrick.
He is survived by: his spouse Mary Louise Fillhart (Cribbs); and his daughters, Darla Hetrick of Reynoldsville, PA, Karen Snyder (Laird) of Falls Creek, PA and Cheryl Johnston (Lawrence) of DuBois, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
