He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel H. Mottern and Julia A. Mottern (Sprague); his spouse Netta J. Foltz; and his siblings, Arlene Wylam, Evelyn Borden, Louise Mottern and David Mottern.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Edward Mohney, Sandra Ellis and Dennis Mohney (Rita); his sisters, Helen Long and Velma Long (Keith); and his grandchildren, Denita Mohney (Anthony Flythe), Jane Keth (Shawn McCool), Kenneth Ellis (Lisa) and Edward Mohney (Tracey). He is also survived by three step grandsons; seven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
