He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Issac Pifer and Edna Lydia Pifer (Kuntz); and his granddaughter Melissa Pifer. He is survived by: his wife Nellie; his children, David R. Pifer (Christyl) of North Dakota and Susan O'Harah (Joseph) of Reynoldsville; his grandchildren, Lacey Stockdale (Mike), Jacob O'Harah (Amanda), Matthew, Issac and Ethan Pifer; and his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Pifer of Reynoldsville and Nona Reiter of Florida.
Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Pifer's memory to Paradise United Church of Christ or the Paradise Community Building, 655 Rock Dump Road, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
