He was predeceased by: his father Pani Matka Sonia; his wife Sonia Ann Peltz of Arnold; his uncle John Bilan; his brother Nicholas Diakiw; his nephew Derek Diakiw; and his son-in-law Patrick Roach.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Sonia Roach of Harrisonburg, William "Ted" Diakiw of Beavercreek and Lydia Ann Rudolf (Mark) of Butler; his grandchildren, Arianna Rock Speer (Carter), Jessica Roach Snyder (JR), Ethan Rock, Zachary Diakiw, Rachel Diakiw, Rebekah Roach, Joshua Roach and Kathleen Rudolf; and his great grandchildren, Cooper Rock and Tucker Rock.
