He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry R. Covert and Ethel L. Mottern Covert; his siblings, Eugene Covert and Mary Jane Herald; and his siblings-in-law, George Higgins and Mary Ann Covert.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine M. Covert; his children, Scott Covert (Michele) of Chicora, Chris Covert (Janis) of Renfrew and Shannan Dorcy (Curt) of Butler; and his brother Lloyd Covert (Snuffy) of Chicora. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
