He was predeceased by: his mother Jane Showalter (Good); and his sister Sarah Showalter. He is survived by: his father Harold Showalter of Denver; and his siblings, Jonathan Showalter (LouAnn), Nathan Showalter (Cheri), Jesse Showalter (Jennifer), Aaron Showalter and Abigail (Randall Zimmerman). He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
