He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Bitner and Dorothy Ruth Bitner (Harmon); his wife Barbara Aloma Bitner (Thomas); his sons, Bruce Edward Bitner and Brian Eugene Bitner; and his sister Glenda Lee Fultz.
He is survived by: his sister Edwina L. Sims of Centre Hall, PA; his daughters-in-law, Evelyn Bitner and Michelle Bitner; his grandson Jared Bitner (Jinny); his great grandchild Viola Angela Bitner; his grandsons, Bryant, Cody and Christopher Bitner; and his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Sims, Cindi Keeler, Raymond Sims and Kathryn Knepp.
