He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Freed and Margaret Freed (Specht); his wife Mabel Freed (Moore); his daughter-in-law Melissa Freed; his grandsons, Mark Dyer and Brandon Freed; and his siblings, Priscilla Miller and Edward L. Freed.
He is survived by: his children, Darla Dyer of Reedsville, Teresa Kohler (Harry) of McVeytown and John A. Freed (Lora Schimmelman) of Frederica, DE.; his siblings, Jean Artman and Jerry Freed (Ruth) of Lewistown; his grandchildren, Ray Dyer (Maureen), Aaron Kohler, Amy Kohler (Aaron Miller) and Alisha Freed (Chris LaMana); and his great grandchildren, Lillian Dyer, Carli-Jo Kohler, Jordyn Kohler, Domynic LaMana and Selena Dyer.
