He was predeceased by: his wife Mabel Elizabeth Sechrist (Flinchbaugh); his parents, Henry Sechrist and Ida Mae Sechrist (Burke); his son Alan H. Sechrist; and his siblings, Mabel, Minnie, Ruth, Mary, Edna, Bill, John and Elwood.
He is survived by: his children, Terry R. Sechrist of Lock Haven, Wayne T. Sechrist (Cherie) of Red Lion, Mark S. Sechrist (Carol) of Red Lion, Linda E. Mosser (Jeff) of Montana and Darlene J. Gilbert (Terry) of Red Lion. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
