She was predeceased by: her husband Robert H. Markel; and her brothers, Frazier, Russell, Vernon and Marvin Gentzler.
She is survived by: her children, Larry R. (Melissa Markel) of Windsor and Lynn E. (Bradley Smith) of Red Lion; her grandchildren, Lesa Tucker, Tracie Snyder, Nicole Miller, Joshua Markel and Dustin Markel; and her siblings, Robert of York, Ricky Gentzler of York, Janet Sindlinger of York, Deloris "Dolly" Nitchman of York, Karen Chronister of York and Carol Dick of York. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
